About You


You are an experienced full-stack Javascript developer, who will be working on our Angular apps with our API, written in Node.js, Typescript, and Elixir, with data stored  by PostgreSQL, and deployed to Heroku.
 

You are hands-on, and desire to be involved in all aspects of the product lifecycle from the initial idea through prototyping, shipping the final product, and support lifecycle. You want to be part of a team where everyone feels comfortable to voice their thoughts and ideas. You are interested in startup speed, big data, and have an appetite for ambiguous problems and aggressive solutions.
 

You love to write clean, fast, and easy-to-use Javascript to solve problems, build solutions, and collaborate with technical and non-technical teammates to deliver compelling products.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of real product experience - you have built solutions beginning to end

  • Experience with our tech stack - Typescript, PostgreSQL, Angular, Express, HTML/CSS, Node.js, Elixir, Swift, Kotlin

  • High degree of fluency in JavaScript + Typescript

  • Experience with automatic building/deployment services like Teamcity, Bitbucket Pipelines, Fastlane etc.

  • Using, designing, and building RESTful APIs

  • A history of integrating a wide range of data sources and 3rd party APIs

  • Familiarity with design patterns, data structures, and best practices

  • The desire and ability to learn quickly

  • You want to work on software that excites sports fans and you're passionate about creating intuitive, scalable products

  • Ability to work effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals

  • Participation in an agile Kanban environment with an emphasis on results  


Pluses

  • Experience with functional programming (Elixir)

  • Designing and implementing APIs for mobile apps

  • Creating elegant CRUD interfaces for admins and support

  • Implementing dashboards, graphing data and showing stats/analytics in general
